Superb little place close to the Shinjuku train station (the one that you arrive at from Narita) and also to the underground entrances. It's nice and quiet, the staff very welcoming and there are plenty of convenience stores in the general area if you need food or drink. There's a vending machine for drinks right in front of the hotel.

Location was really good. Walking distance from metro stations and very close to convenience stores, restaurants and supermarkets. It was easy to find as well. The room had all the amenities (including very good toiletries!) and was cleaned regularly. Staff were very nice and helpful.

Location was exceptional. Room is good and clean. Other than that it is a 2 star hotel no facilities is provided except a room, so for what it is it is indeed superb. I'll add another description of the location. It is located 1 min walk away from a metro entrance of Higashi Shinjuku station.. So you are in the Ikebukuro - Shibuya train in less than 5 min max. There is another line in the same station that will take you east to Tokyo Station and other areas, it takes another couple of minutes to walk to that platform which is in the junction south to the hotel. There is a combini 1 minute walk and cafe and macdonalds nearby. It is 10-15 min walk to kabukicho.

My stay at GLOU was fantastic! The staff were incredibly nice and went out of their way to help me navigate my stay and explore the area. Their local knowledge and helpful recommendations made a huge difference and made me feel right at home. The hotel itself is spotless—everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed to ensure a comfortable stay. I felt completely at ease from the moment I arrived. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll feel welcome, comfortable, and well taken care of, GLOU is the perfect choice. I’ll definitely be staying here again!

Excellent location, less than a minute walk from the B1 exit to Shingashi-Shinjuku station, so convenient!! And multiple 7-11s, Family Mart, McDonald's and other food spots to eat nearby. Very easy walk or quick train to Shinjuku station.Such a great spot, room was much bigger than we were expecting. We could leave open our 2 large suitcases in the room and still have plenty of space. Very clean, with daily housekeeping and fresh robes + towels daily. Fantastic value also, would definitely recommend! Would happily stay here again in Tokyo!

Clean room, good price. Very friendly, helpful staff that spoke English. Unique location tucked into a quiet residential area. Short walk to the main road and subway station. Felt safe walking back to the hotel at night. Nice to have a mini fridge in the room.

The location was quiet and right next to the subway line so super convenient. The receptionist was really nice, friendly, accommodating and helped us out with calling one of the restaurants we pre booked to change our reservation.

— Great location, in a 15-20 min foot walk distance from all the main Shinjuku attractions and Shinjuku station. Also, the street is very quiet, so you can be sure that you sleep well :) — Rooms are clean, we had our room cleaned every day — There is even a small elevator inside, so there is no need to drag luggage through the staircase — Staff is super-friendly and polite ❤️

Location to the JE train line, entry/exit was right around the corner. Conveniance stores all around. Reasonably quiet. Close to the bright lights of Shinjuku. Had access to a paid washer dryer. The L3 room in the other building had space to more space. Loving the Japanese heated toilet seats.
